Help! I Ate 2000 Calories Today and I'm on a 1200 Calorie Diet. Will I Gain Weight?

What a great diet help question:

Question: I’m a female by the way. So I’ve been eating 1200 calories everyday and burning 400 calories 5-6 days a week. Today, I burned 400 calories but ate 2000! It was my mom’s birthday and we went to Chili’s and I split a chocolate molten cake and ice cream with her, which was about 600 calories for me. Plus I ate mini burgers (without the buns, so just the meat, cheese, lettuce, and pickles) which is 1800 calories with french fries and onion rings, which I did not eat, so I figure I probably ate about 500 calories for the burgers alone. Then I had two single french fries which were probably 50 calories each which is 1200 calories plus the 800 I had already eaten of healthy foods (fruits, veggies, etc.) WILL I GAIN WEIGHT? I’ve been losing weight by exercising and eating a 1200 calorie diet of healthy food. I’m terrified I’m going to gain weight. Should I eat less tomorrow to make up for this? Please help! Thank you!
Answer: Do not eat less to makeup for the slight binge. Doing that will throw your system out of whack, make you hungrier and screw up your metabolism.

You simply get back on track. I preach consistency. If you’re consistent most of the time with diet and exercise, this won’t be a problem. I’ve knocked down triple what you ate at Chilli’s before but b/c I’m consistent most of the time with diet and exercise, I’m still very lean (single digit body fat).

Will you gain weight? Maybe 1/2 pound possibly but hard to pinpoint exactly how much without more details. Don’t worry too much. Treat it as a cheat meal.

Help!! My Mom Won't Let Me Diet!?

I just love answering these diet help questions. Here’s another:

Question: I really want to gø on a diet! A six meals a day diet, (small meals) but she always makes meals like
(Peas, Applesause,Spagetti, meat balls,) basically all the five food groups but then gives HUGE servings of food! How do I tell her I want to, bc she always gets mad,, " I make you good healthy foods and you f***ing complain, now make your own da** food!" ): plz help!!.
Oh haha. I’m 13.
Answer: 13? Yes, I was in the exact same position as you. But your mom’s only looking out for you. These teenage years are when the body grows. You need lots and lots of food for that to happen.

6 meals a day is actually good as it revs up the metabolism but 3 meals a day isn’t bad at all. I’m not sure why you want to go to 6 meals a day but a good way to encourage your mom to be more flexible is to tell her you WILL eat the amount of food she gives you in one sitting…except you’ll eat it in 2 sittings instead.

Doing this not only satsifies you but ensures that your mom feels satisfied knowing you’re eating all the food she makes for you but just spaced out more.

I hope your mom listens but if you’re going on a diet to lose weight, then i don’t suggest doing so at this age. Best way to stay fit is exercise when you’re 13. It’s the years to be active. But if you just want equally spaced out meals, then go for it!

I Need Help with My Diet..?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: For the past couple of months I’ve been eating better on and off, but my weight has remained the same. I’m a 19 year old male, 6 feet tall, around 190 pounds. I just started going to the gym and need help orienting myself in my workout regime and diet. Every morning before I workout I have a bowl of Fiber 1 cereal, with 5 tables spoons of Hemp Shells. They’re designed to give you all of the required elements you need, with more portein than eggs or milk, but make you less hungry and give you more neergy in a day. Then I’ll have some fruit around lunch, and a salad for supper. I want to lose weight and build muscle, I know that’s everyone’s plea but I am truly willing to put all of the effort forward, I just lack the direction. Any advice on what healthy foods I can consume and how much of them without gaining weight.

Answer: A few things you need to do:

1. Don’t eat fiber 1 cereal, if you look in the ingredients it has high fructose corn syrup, and partially hydrogonated oils. Basically this means it will not help you loose weight but gain weight

2. If you want to lose weight and gain muscle try this approach
eat nothing out of a box, can, or bag (hemp seeds are fine) for two months, make sure to get at least 1 gram of protein for your bodyweight. In this case you should be getting about 190-200 grams of protein per day.

3. Limit all processed starchy carbs (chips, bread, wheat, etc) its hard but if you are dedicated it will pay dividends.

Men, Help Me Out. Looking for the Perfect Diet/exercise Schedule?

I just love answering these diet help questions. Here’s another:

Question: I made a decision, recently. I have decided to try switching over to more suitable food, for health’s sake.

Basically, what I need is a diet that is healthy, and helps gain weight(I’m a little on the skinny side), and a daily exercise regime that builds up muscle, especially in the arms and chest area.

i recently started eating 1 big meal a day and 1 small meal , even a sandwich a at night .
I do take a lot of vitamins , Centrum , and fish oil pills , and liquid b complex .
I been listing weights , ever 2 days for 30 min , and started riding my bike at least 30 mils a week .

i build up a lot of muscle and lost weight and size in my waist .
that worked for me

i ate a lot of green salads with bunch of different vegetable , dont drink as much soda any more , mostly water and 1 redbull once a day . I eat mostly chicken or turkey , but i have at least once a day ham or pork .
