Men, Help Me Out. Looking for the Perfect Diet/exercise Schedule?

I just love answering these diet help questions. Here’s another:

Question: I made a decision, recently. I have decided to try switching over to more suitable food, for health’s sake.

Basically, what I need is a diet that is healthy, and helps gain weight(I’m a little on the skinny side), and a daily exercise regime that builds up muscle, especially in the arms and chest area.

Thanks for contributing, ten points for the best answer.
No powders or anything. Just good, healthy foods.

Answer: hey
i recently started eating 1 big meal a day and 1 small meal , even a sandwich a at night .
I do take a lot of vitamins , Centrum , and fish oil pills , and liquid b complex .
I been listing weights , ever 2 days for 30 min , and started riding my bike at least 30 mils a week .

i build up a lot of muscle and lost weight and size in my waist .
that worked for me

i ate a lot of green salads with bunch of different vegetable , dont drink as much soda any more , mostly water and 1 redbull once a day . I eat mostly chicken or turkey , but i have at least once a day ham or pork .

How Do I Lose the Final Bit of Weight (exercising Makes Me Gain Weight)? Nutritional/diet/exercise Help!?

Another diet help question has come in this week. Let’s tackle it straight away:

Question: I am 20 years old, 5ft 3in, 140lbs, BMI = 24.8 and have a body fat percentage of 23%.

I have lost 18lbs over a length of time, with no exercising, simply a healthy and well balanced diet.

I have gone from a UK size 12/14 dress to a size 8/10. However, I am still not happy with my weight.

24.8 is extremely close to being overweight according to the BMI index (25+ overweight).

My goal would be 126lbs, but my weight has plateaued and I have remained at 140lbs for months now. I fear exercise because I don’t want to gain weight and undo all my hard work, and every time I exercise I gain weight! I am in a dilemma over this. Please, somebody, help me lose that last bit of weight! Maybe suggest exercises that will in fact help weight loss and not gain, or maybe nutritional info reasons this is happening, etc.

Thank you!

P.S. I know a size 8/10 is not overweight, but my BMI concerns me nonetheless. I, like most woman, have the flabby bits they would like to see GONE!

Answer: Exercise doesn’t change fat into muscle but it does reduce fat and increase muscle mass. This may cause an increase of weight on the scale but it does not mean that you are gaining weight in the sense that you are carrying around useless poundage. It just means that you are firming up your muscles, gaining a trimmer figure, and increasing strength.
Don’t be afraid of exercising as this will only improve your health and body fitness. Eventually it will help reset how fast your body uses calories and you will start to lose weight again.
