Question: if i just eat like apples and maybe oranges? & drink water for a week nd work out every night do u think ill lose weight?
Answer: Hello, with it being the begining of a new year it seems to be on everyones list to try and get into shape and lose a few pounds. My freind just started a new diet program on the 1st and has already lost 5 lbs. It’s called the diet solution, I’m actually going to start it tomorrow. They have a ton of free healthy recipes too! I Need Help For A Diet Please?

Question: At The Beginning Of A Diet Is It Harder To See Results On The Scale? I Just Started Today & It Says I Gained A Pound. I Remember Reading Somewhere That At The Beginning Of A Diet You Might Put On Weight, Then You Start To Quickly Drop It. Please Confirm Or Deny This. Thank You.

I Can Anyone Help Me with a Diet Plan?

What’s this week’s diet help question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: I’m 30 yrs. old, 5′9", and 155-158 lbs - I go up & down really. I have 2 kids & work full time, but I know that’s not an excuse!! I used to be in great shape - problem is - I never had to do anything! The past few years though, the weight is sticking like glue. I do some quick, aerobic sets( about 10 min. each) on a DVD I have about 3-4 times a week, but that’s it. I’m just never motivated - even though I HATE my weight now. Any tips on a diet or fitness plan? I know I need to get my butt in gear - I’m just having trouble getting started.
Answer: Do you know why it was easy back then and harder now. As we age our metabolism slows down. Yes in your 30s its a little harder to drop pounds. You have a busy life with the 2 Kids & work full time. That is like having two full time jobs and i respect you for that. It is hard to get motivated alone. I was a Fitness Trainer in the Military before retiring this year. Even for me it is sometimes to motivate myself but i do manage. Having someone to help you is always a bonus. Now since you are soo busy, i would suggest you try the Slim Fast Diet plan as it will work with your busy schedule and not require alot of time focusing on your diet.

What Are Some Good Foods to Eat to Help Lose Weight? Or a Good Diet?

A diet help question that should definitely interest you all this week

Question: Im 18 & weigh about 145 lbs. I have some belly fat & my thighs are ridiculous. I would like to lose some weight to make myself feel better. I eat fast food & drink soda and I know that those are major factors. I’ll try to cut those 2 down. But I need to know what are some foods to eat to help lose weight. Is there anything I could buy at stores? Any help would be nice, please & thank you :) What are some good foods to eat as a snack or something little for when i get that feeling of hunger? EX: yogurt, fruit, cereal..
Answer: It’s very important to have a healthy, well balanced diet. This means having a good mix of whole grains, lean proteins, fruits/veggies, dairy and healthy fats. Below are some examples of foods that fall into those categories. You might consider purchasing some of these at the grocery store.

Whole grains:
-whole grain rice/pastas
-whole wheat bread/sandwich thins (look for 100% whole grain)
-cereals (Kashi is amazing)
-granola bars

Protein
-boneless skinless chicken breasts
-ground turkey or lean ground beef
-canned tuna
-salmon
-eggs
-beans/legumes

Fruits
-apples/bananas/peaches/pears/oranges/berries etc (look for fresh fruits and find out what’s in season so it’s cheaper)
-100% fruit juices
-dried fruits

Vegetables
-brocolli/spinach/carrots/peppers/cucumbers/lettuce/tomato etc
-frozen veggies
-potatos/sweet potatos
-squash

Dairy
-skim milk
-lowfat/fat free yogurt
-cottage cheese
-cheese

Fats
-nuts (raw almonds, peanuts, walnuts, make excellent snacks)
-natural peanut butter
-avocados
-olive oil
-olives

It is defintely important that you try to cut back on soda and fast food (especially the soda, because it’s quite easy to go overboard on that without even realizing it!) As for fast food, it’s better to avoid it, but I know that’s not always possible if you are in a time crunch. Just try to choose healthier options (most chains post nutrition stats online). But one of the most important things is to never deprive yourself of the foods you love! It is ok to treat yourself once in awhile,and any food is ok in moderation as part of a healthy diet. The key is portion size. If you are craving ice cream, go ahead and have it. But stick to just one scoop, not the whole pint. A single scoop will be just enough to satisfy your craving. If you deprive yourself of these foods, you will only be more likely to overindulge later on!

If you are looking for some healthy snacks, here are some good examples of healthy, filling snacks that will give you energy:

-slliced apple and 1T peanut butter
-celery sticks and cottage cheese
-raw crunchy veggies (carrots, celery, etc) and hummus dip
-fat free/low fat yogurt topped with berries and a handful of nuts
-small bowl of cereal and skim or soymilk
-hard boiled egg
-handful of dried fruit/nuts
-slice of wheat toast spread with peanut butter
-string cheese and a piece of fruit

I am really happy that you want to lose weight the healthy way. Once you start eating better, you will feel 100X more energetic! I think you’re going to be really successful, just remember to stick to it! Best of luck.

Diet & Carbs/Starch (help)?

What’s this week’s diet help question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: So I’m on a diet & have lost some weight but now I’ve stopped losing after only 2weeks…
I’ve just maintained & it sucks really bad! I’m thinking its because of how much
bread/pasta/rice that I take in daily..so I was wondering how much carbs should someone
whos on a diet eat daily? like what are the amounts..like maybe 2 slices of bread a day
or 1cup of rice or potatoes a day? Someone PLEASE help.
Answer: Starchy carbohydrates such as bread, pasta and rice are not necessarily fattening but if you combine them with meat, poultry, sea food or eggs the combination can be very fattening. Such combinations are not permitted by the Atkins diet which is a high protein diet with starchy carbohydrates being excluded. It permits non-starchy carbohydrates such as fruit and most vegetables with the exclusion of potatoes and sweet potatoes as they are starchy carbohydrates. To a lesser extent beans, peas and lentils are also starchy carbohydrates.

Question: ok im 12 years old a white female, im 5′1 114 pounds!!! i feel way fat. all my friends wear a xs in aeropostale & i wear a medium in aero. n i have a lil muffin top. its not fair, i can’t wear tight shirts, cuz im so self conshius about me stomach that my stomach cant even be visible in my shirts. but can u give me some diets, that wont stunt my growth or something. all i wanna do is wear a 00 and xs like everybody else, and no i won’t throw up, don’t be sarcastic or rude or judgemental!
PLEASE ANSWERR! DESPERATE!! :/
AND STOP TYRING TO SELL UR DIET PILLS ON HERE PEOPLE NOBODYS WANTS TO BUY THEM, I WANT NATURALL ! JEEZZZZZZZ!
Answer: You’re 12. Most likely, if you don’t eat crap, you’ll lose it anyway.
When I was 12, I was your height and weighed about 147 pounds. Now, I’m almost 14, I’m 5"5 and I weigh about 119, which is normal. I didn’t do anything but be healthy.
And trust me, when you’re losing the weight, everyone else is going to be putting on weight. Looking like a doll isn’t all that great anyway. . .

PLEASE Help Me, Failed Diet & I Feel Like A Failure :( ?

Question: Hey so before the holidays I started a diet cutting excess sugar, i didnt eat crisps or chocolate for the first week, but then it all went wrong and i just ate rubbish !, now theres only TWO weeks of the holidays and i havent lost anything what can I do to loose the extra weight, please help :( , ideally i would like to loose wieght off my stomach,waist and legs, thanks :-) xx
Im 14, 5"7 & 140lbs :(
Answer: Intense cardio! RUN RUN RUN!!!! Seriously, this is how i lost weight. Also, NO DIETS! Cutting one type of food will ruin you. Moderation is all you need. Also muscle training will help.

HELP! Anything I Could Possibly Order While on a Diet?

Question: Okay, so i’m going on vacation next week and my family ALWAYS goes to the Pancake Pantry. I was never on a diet when I went there before & my parents both already told me I HAVE to eat here. So what’s the healthiest thing I could get besides cereal? Thanks! Still trying to go from 130-120 at 5′8 (:

ALSO! I don’t like eggs AT ALL or omlettes or veggies. And i’m going in the morning, so don’t tell me to get a sandwich or salad. Thanks!

Answer: cereal IS NOT healthy! you’re not interested in healthy, cause you HAVE to eat veggies to be healthy. go with fresh fruit then or use it as your cheat day and cheat, then get back on your diet if that what you want to call it!

Can Somebody Help Me with a Diet Plan?

Question: Okay so im planning on signing up for the airforce in about 3 months. Im a little overweight. I want to lose about 40 lbs to meet the requirements. Im a female. What are some good diets & exercises to do to lose that much in that amount of time? Im about to get really dedicated to doing this so please help! thanks !

Answer: if you want to lose weight that fast you need to be working out at least 5 times per week.

Do a mixture of about 3 or 4 weight listing sessions and add in another 3 cardio sessions of 20-40 minutes.

in terms of your diet eat about 40% carbohydrate, 40% protein and 20% healthy fats (fish oils).

after the 1st month and a half cut carbs further to 30% and add protein to 50%. Also up the cardio and keep weight training sessions to 30-40 minutes.

Worried About Failing My Diet. Please Help!?

I just love answering these diet help questions. Here’s another:

Question: I’ve just started a diet, done very well so far, started on sunday, but my parents have gone shopping to day + know i’m on a diet + i told them what foods to get. But they came back from shopping with the healthy food but also my favourite junk food eg: Pizzas,cakes < you get the drift. And this has actually Pi**ed me of big time. At the moment i feel like eating them but i know i wont, but the thing is…. just knowing that those things are there and i can eat them at any time (if i wanted) is whats gonna play havoc with my mind, where as if they wernt their i wouldn’t need to worry about eating them & failing my diet! do you get what i mean? What should i do? i really don’t wanna fail on this diet. Thanks :)
Answer: I feel your pain!
It’s really hard to diet when you live with people who buy bad food!
You could just try to stay out of the house more often, but you can’t avoid the food forever.

Try inviting a friend or two over for a movie and making the food then. That way, you can still enjoy it a little bit, but your friends will be there to split it with you, so you won’t eat the whole thing alone! Plus, I sometimes eat less around others because I realize how little they are eating. It is easier to pig out when you’re alone.

I know this is really bad, and there are starving people around the world, but sometimes I used to sabatoge food when I found myself eating it. If I started sneaking bits of cake, and was on my way back for a third slice, I would pour something I really don’t like on it and then throw it out. If your parents are buying the junk food JUST for you, then it’s not going to go away unless you make it…so just get rid of it ASAP. If you feel bad about that, bring it to class, work, or a friend’s house as a treat….sharing is caring! Hehe.

Wear tight clothes in your house. You might feel uncomfortable wearing those clothes in public, but they will remind you that you still need to lose weight, and when you go to get a slice of cake, you will think of how tight your clothes are and turn around…or notice your pants getting tighter as you eat, causing you to stop. It will help you keep your diet in check.

Aside from all that, talk to your parents again about keeping bad food out of the house since you are trying to make a lifestyle change. Hopefully, they’ll get it next time!
