Looking for Suggestions on What Should I Do for My Diet to Help Me Get Lucky with a Baby?

What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: took a short hiatus and am back on the TTC journey soon. Would love some more suggestion on what i need to stay way from eat more of.
Currenlty i eat way more fast food than what is needed and working on fixing that as well I don’t drink too much pop maybe 2-3 20oz a week. I do love coffee and tea. i drink 1 -2 cups a day. even decaffinated ones.
I snack on nuts mainly and fruits and my favorite is popcorn/chips .. i’m not a candy fan. Anyway i am not over weight and am NOT trying to lose weight. Just want to make my efforts of trying to get a bump to be the healthiest as I can get it to be.!
Answer: A healthy fertility diet consisting of good carbohydrates such as brown pasta, lean proteins such as chicken and fish, fruit and veg and low-fat dairy products can help you reduce your BMI to reach your ideal healthy weight.

If you are overweight when pregnant, you are putting yourself at increased risk of pre-eclampsia, diabetes and a difficult delivery. Similarly, if you are underweight when pregnant, your baby is more likely to have a low birth weight.

Question: I stopped doing Ballet and Swimming for about a year or so and want to get back into it. Any ideas on a diet plans you know of? A diet plan?

Answer: Best thing you can do is talk to your doctor about a diet and he’ll give you a great healthy diet.

Question: Please help me i’m out of shape and too skinny what kind of diet should i consume mostly i currently take lots of carbohydrates with meat,fish or egg, and how many push up and sit ups per day??? please help i cant go to a gym cuz of my age and parents

Answer: you dont look too bad but think about adding some fats like nuts and keep eating what you do along with drinking a lot of milk. i dont know what kind of shape you are in but try starting with 100 and u can break them up into sets of at least 10

Phentermine 37.2mg Diet Pills. HELP?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: I have been taking phentermine on and off for 2 years. I had a long gap off them and started them again in june. But i have missed my periods for 0ver 2 month now. This never happened last time. I have done preg tests all come back neg. As anyone else had this and turned out was preg or it was from taking the pills?
Answer: Phentermine is a a very powerful drug and one side effect could be interruption of cycling.
I hope you are working with your doctor and didn’t just decide to finish out an old prescription.
If you got the pills without a prescription they are either not real phentermine or an unapproved substitute.
Talk to your doctor.

I'm 14 Yrs Old and I'm 5"3 I'm a Guy I Weight 155 I Want to Lose Weight but Not an Extreme Diet Any Help? ?

Answer: If you want to lose weight safely, you should eat more healthy foods and cut all your sweets and fats. You don’t have to have an extreme diet. Just cut out the fast foods and don’t let anyone talk you into eating when you shouldn’t. At 14 yrs, you will gain height and can maintain weight by controlling your food intake. To do it safely and sanely, cut your calorie intake by 3500 calories a week coupled by exercises you like. I’d suggest swimming as it use all the body muscles and trims and tones your whole body. You’ll get slimmer and trimmer with an hour every day or every other day. Doing this can lose 2-3 lbs a week along with the diet. If you must eat sweets save a day for "extra goodies". Good luck and eat healthy.

Will This Diet Work for Me? Pleeeez Help Me! 10 Points?

What a great diet help question:

Question: I’m 14
5′7
126 pounds
Girl

So it may not be healthy for me to lose weight but too bad. I’m going to do it anyway, no matter what anyone says so please don’t try to stop me. Anyway I want to lose like 15-20 pounds. So far I have been eating:

1 granola bar
One fruit
Some juice
A bit of chicken and tomatoes

For exercise:
Running for 30 min
Burn 300 cal at gym

So I’m don’t need a lecture. I’ve heard it from anyone. I just want to know how much I will lose per week, and when I will reach 110 pounds.

Answer: Yes, but you should mix up what you eat while maintaining a healthy diet (as in a food from:
—-Starches: Potatoes, rice cakes, plain cereal, corn
—-Fruit and Vegetables: Pretty much anything you think is, except corn and potatoes
—-Dairy: Milk or yogurt
—Protein: Some nuts, fish, skinless chicken

Juice might be too sugary [in proportion to your low cal diet], causing you to actually gain fat. Which means you might weigh less, but look fatter/have less muscle-more fat. And remember~ muscle burns more cal than fat so….

Try to avoid salt- it makes you retain more water and appear to weigh more- and trans and saturated fat.

Yep, exercise (but don’t kill yourself) & keep a balanced diet.

Is Acai Berry Slim Pro All-Natural Diet Pill? Will It Really Help Me Lose Weight?

Another diet help question has come in this week. Let’s tackle it straight away:

Question: I’d been trying to lose weight for over a year now. I need to lose around 40lbs but I just don’t have that much self control when it comes to food intake. I tend to eat really big portions and several servings every meal. I’d been searching for an all-natural diet pill and read that acai berry has lots of health benefits and a good appetite suppressant. Has anyone tried it already? Is it really effective?
Answer: They’re all natural…made of, of course, acai berries. No side effects so far so it’s perfectly safe, I believe. I would say the pills are very effective because I have lost about 14lbs since I started taking them and it has been about 2 months only since. I don’t get to exercise much because of work but I do try still to speed things up. I also try to eat healthy as much as possible but like you, I used to munch on everything and I mean everything! But after about a few weeks of taking the pills, I started to eat less and less and don’t get cravings that much anymore so there’s your appetite suppressant.

Need Some Dieting Help..?

A tough diet help question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: I need to go on a diet but ive been on a few before but i always get fed up after a month or so! Anyways ways to motivate myself to keep going? And any other techniques i could use? What diets are you guys on?:)
Answer: I’m trying to lose weight myself :)
I’m not on any fad diets I find that they make me feel that i’m depriving myself.
Just eating healthy and adding more fruit and veg to your diet. Lean meats like chicken and complex carbs too.. Which is like brown rice, wholemeal bread and potatoes. Try scrambled eggs and a slice of toast for breakfast. Doesn’t sound much be you’ll be surprised how much it fills a whole.

Try light exercise first, like walking, that kept me motivated. If you over do it, it then it becomes a chore and in turn you’ll get bored. lol.
After then try other exercises, like jogging or swimming!

Do Anorexia Diets Work? Please Help, I Need to Loose Weight Fast.?

We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of diet help. Let’s take a look:

Question: Okay. So at the moment I’m nearly 5ft 2, weigh 8 stone 9 (I’m 14) and I want to loose weight really really fast. I’ve heard about all these girls with anorexia (And in NO WAY am I supporting what they do to their bodies, they’re too thin) But I’m getting desperate to loose weight. I know that anorexia is dangerous and it can kill you blah blah blah but it’s obvious that these methods work so should I try them?

I just feel so ugly and disgusting. I’m a dancer and all the other girls just looks so perfect and I’m just short and tubby and round. My mum tells me not to loose weight, and that I’m getting too thin but I just want to lose a stone or two and I’ll stop. I lost nearly 2 stone in 5 weeks and I’m not sure if that’s alright but it feels too slow. So any advice,tips or good pro-ana sites or people to talk to? Thanks , Becca x x

Answer: Sure - if you can stand not to eat. You lose weight pretty well on a modified fast.

Let’s say you had two or three hard boiled eggs a day - and lots of water and nothing else. Eggs are the best protein you can get - but the amount of food is so tiny that you’d be ‘fasting’ actually.

If you can stand it, it would work great, and I doubt you’d drop dead from starvation.

Teenagers Please Help: Exercise and Diet Questions? (Repost with Edits)?

What a great diet help question:

Question: I’m trying to lose 30 lbs from my 5 foot 6ish 160lbs frame by June 2012. I think I have an outline of how I’m going to do it.
DIET:
1. Around 1700 calories a day. (I’m not gonna obssessivly count though, just estimate)
2.Eat at least 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies a day.
3.Eat 5-6 small meals a day so I’m never starving.
4. Most importantly, I won’t deprive myself. I’ll try and make healthy choices, but if I want a cookie once in a while, thats fine..it won’t kill me.

EXERCISE:
1. Try and get an hour or more of exercise a day.
2. Wake up a little earlier and get maybe 15-20 of stretching, yoga, and situps to get my blood flowing.
3. Get some exercise after dinner: a walk, an exercise routine, playing catch, SOMETHING.
4. Keep playing softball, which I’ve LOVED since age 5.

GENERAL:
1.Stay positive.
2.Tell myself: I AM BEAUTIFUL.
3. Don’t forget to treat myself once in a while!
4.Reward myself (NOT WITH FOOD): 5 lbs lost? New nail polish. 15 lbs lost? New book. And so on until June 2012 when I reach my goal weight (hopefully!): DREAM 8TH GRADE GRADUATION DRESS.
5. Weigh myself only once a week.
6. Most importantly: Love yourself. I’m always gonna be curvy, it’s just the way my body is.. And there’s a lot more to me than my weight.

So my question is: Are these good ideas? If you could adress all numbers (EX: Diet: 1. 2. 3.) that would be great! And do you think I can meet my goal? Thank you so much in advance!
PS: I reposted this in Adolescent because I figured teens would understand how hard it is to eat right and find time to exercise during school with our crazy scheduless!

Answer: Your Diet section is excellent, and so is your Exercise section.

Your General section is awesome too, I think it’s great that you’re keeping up a positive attitude about all this! I think you can definitely reach your goal!

Don’t be discouraged if you can’t meet all of your Exercise or Diet points within the first two weeks to a month or so, because the routine you’ve laid out for yourself takes some getting used to!

I just recently graduated Grade 8, and I know what it feels like to get a dress you feel amazing in! All your work will pay off next June, believe me!!
