Question: My wife is expecting our first baby (had two misses already) and i wanna get her this….she is from the States and is really hard for her so it may be just a little thing but i realllllllllly wanna get her some of this.

Answer: @Pooka Fish - caffeine in moderation does NOT cause miscarriage and soda isnt going to either. It’s okay to have in moderation. I know lots of women (myself included) who drank soda during pregnancy & had healthy pregnancies and babies. But like everyone else said, diet soda isn’t the best thing to put in ur body during pregnancy but I dont think one every once in awhile will hurt!

OP - maybe u could call around at different stores? They should have them somewhere! Good luck!

Help with Diet and Exercise?

A diet help question that should definitely interest you all this week

Question: I’ve always been on the chunky side. I’m somewhere between 5′6-5′7 and 150-155 lbs. Don’t lecture me. During the school year, i tend to eat better than i do in the summer. My diet during the school year is something like this
Breakfast-Yougurt (only thing i can choke down that early)
Lunch-Wrap or Salad or Sandwich, fresh fruit, granola bar or trail mix or little piece of dark chocolate
Snack-Fruit or crackers
Dinner-Wide Variety, but usually a meat, some veggies, and the occasional rice or potatoes
Snack (sometimes, but not after 8)- fruit or yougurt with a couple crackers
I drink plenty or water and usually have milk with dinner.

For exercise, i’m kind of stuck. Fall, no problem i’ll take a walk. Spring no problem, I play softball. But i don’t know what to do during winter. I get exercise during gym, but thats about it. Any ideas?

Answer: 30 minutes of cardio is a healthy thing to do 3 tomes a week(:

PLEASE Help Me with My Fitness & Diet Plan!?

We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of diet help. Let’s take a look:

Question: Hi! School starts on the 8th & volleyball starts on the 6th. I would like to start my plan on Monday the 29th & then probably start an easier one that will fit with my school schedule on the Friday or Saturday after. This is just my Monday plan so far & I am asking you to help me add some things to the end. I plan on having a similar plan each day but add jumping in the trampoline to some days and taking away other things.Just to let you know I plan to finish the day by watching The lying Game (Monday night) at 9 & drink some sleepy tea to help me fall asleep. So here is my plan!

6:20- breakfast~ fiber one cereal & strawberry & banana smoothie.
7:00- run the perimeter of the neighborhood.
7:30- do an an circle video.
7:45- take a shower.
8:00- read my book for 20 minutes.
8:20- put a load of laundry in the washer, bring my dog for a walk around the perimeter of my neighborhood, put the load in the drier & dance to music until its done.
9:50- fold laundry and watch tv for a half an hour.
10:30- make a cup of tea and read for another twenty minutes.
11:00- clean room & dance to music.
11:30- work on my summer project.
12:15- Lunch!~ half a panini (from weight watchers) with a cut up apple & peanut butter & water.
12:45- walk my dog for 15 minutes.
1:05- do 100 situps, 50 push UPS, stretch!
1:30- watch tv for an hour & do crunches on commercials.
2:30- play with my dog.
3:00- get some veggies & dip & go in the basement and do 15 squats for 60 seconds each & eat in between.

So from there I am asking you PLEASE help me plan the rest of the day. What should I do? & yes I will be drinking a ton of water in between & refilling my dogs water bowl (: I thought I might as well start waking up early and going to sleep earlier to get ready for school. & that I should keep myself busy for the day.

I Need Some Help With A Diet and Exercise. Please Help?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: I’m looking to get in shape in the next 6 months. I’m 20 years old, 6′3" at 200lbs. I’m looking to get back into Crossfit and Muay Thai. I also plan to run everyday. Morning runs. At least 3 miles a day. I have my workout scheduled and planned out. It goes as followed:
Monday: AM Run, PM Muay Thai
Tuesday: AM Run, PM Crossfit
Wednesday: AM Run, PM Muay Thai
Thursday: AM Run, PM Crossfit
Friday: AM Run, PM Muay Thai
Saturday: AM Run, PM Crossfit
Sunday: Weight Training (For muscle mass)
What I need now is the diet. What combination of foods do I need in order to gain muscle and look leaner? Can someone help me?!
Answer: Damn dude your already massive, for diet i’d try bulking and cutting later when you want to get rid of some bodyfat. Eat 500 calories more than your maintenance (which is usually around 2000-2200) keep your protein high and eat moderate carbs and some fat here and there too. I suggest chicken breast and whey protein with milk for your protein intake, it’s the cheapest most convenient option but it’s really up to you. Some healthy fats to snack on would be almonds avocados that kind of thing. And for carbs i’d recomend potatoes spaghetti oatmeal rice etc. Check out swole.me its a site that makes a diet for you, it’s not perfect but I think it’s a good start and than you can modify that diet to how you see appropriate.

13 Year Olds Health?! Help Exercise, and Diet!!?

What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: So I recently came back from a cruise and before I left ; I weighed 100 pounds now 111!! insane ; The cruise was nine days , and spend 5 days on a hotel so it was two weeks
So today I eat
Breakfeast :an apple
Lunch : (small) smoothie.. , the smoothie had fruit and Low fat yogurt thats it!
Dinner : not sture yeat . maby a small bowl of honey nut cheerios
I am also 5 feet tall.. so do you think what I am eating is o.k or too much or too little or bad

also Hom much exercise , I go on my tradmill and am thinking of doing an hour , what do you think of my diet and exercise , or how much should I exercise a day?

Answer: you should actually eat more than you are. that’s not enough. you’re body will go into starvation mode and hold on to all the fat it can. believe me, i’ve been there and done that. i read on the internet that you’re body will do that and i thought that it didn’t make any sense really so i kinda starved myself and i actually gained weight! not good!
just eat a good breakfast lunch and dinner and have 2 healthy snacks.
drink lots of water too!

and btw, you’re not fat at all! :D

Help! I Need to Go on a Diet.?

I just love answering these diet help questions. Here’s another:

Question: Im quite slim, and i like my body >,<
But I eat like a pig! I could eat like 10 chocolate bars everyday, loads of crisps. I also eat big dinners! I eat sooo much, but im really slim.
My friends always say im the one who eats like a pig, but is really skinny.
Even when ive eat loads, i usually still feel hungry!? :\
Is is okay to eat loads? and be skinny now.
Will i be skinny when im older or will i put on alot of weight-.-
is this healthy or not?

Answer: I have no idea if your going to stay slim, or put on some weight.
To be honest, just eat what you like. If you feel hungry, then eat..
if you see your starting to put on abit of weight maybe cut down on the unhealthy foods?
But then again, if your quite slim, gaining alittle bit more weight isn’t that bad?
Im not sure, but neither is no one else-.-
Its your body, and no one can predict what its gonna do
maybe you’ll put on weight, maybe you woant:)
You’lll just have to wait and find out :D
Just cut down on the chocolate barrs!!!

Question: I’ve tired the atkins diet I can’t stay on it its to hard but I want a diet that can help me lose 20 to 30 pounds a month without trying to strave myself
Answer: go to youtube u’ll find alot of how to lose weight workout videos eat green apples or drink green tea it is perfect for losing weight instead of soda don’t eat to much sweets or drink soda drink 2 cups of water before lunch so u won’t be able to eat a lot go to a doctor to organize for u a diet that suits your body not all diets will work with your body try to run or walk 1 hour everyday start with 15 min then add 10 min every day until u reach 1 hour

Please Help; I'm Freaking About Dieting!?

A diet help question that should definitely interest you all this week

Question: Okay here’s the deal; I don’t want people saying ‘you’re not fat’ or ‘just eat right and exercise’ I need serious help and opinions here.

I’m 5′ 5" and weight around 120 (sometimes 119 sometimes 121) pounds. I feel fat. I’m afraid I’m slowly sinking into an eating disorder because I have attempted to make myself throw up after large meals. I try to get to my local track once a week and eat right (under 1200 calories and lots of veggies) but I haven’t lost.

I have been taking Zantrex 3 for about 5 days and have seen very little results but my stomach hasn’t totally adjusted to it yet so I’m still hopeful.

I’m thinking about trying this new diet tomorrow:
- full dose of Zantrex 3 (two pills with each meal)
- run at the track for at least 2.5 miles at least twice a week
- cut out carbs entirely except for one meal
- eat around 900 calories per day

Is this safe? Please, please…suggestions?!

Answer: i’m sorry but no that is not safe..at all! you need atleast some carbs, for your body to function properly. and if you’re running, believe it or not, when you eat more calories, your body burns more off. because when you exercise and eat barely anything like that, your body thinks that it’s in starvation mode, so whenever you do eat, your body will just store the food and make it into fat, which you don’t want. eat every few hours, but make your snacks fruit and vegetables. eat fiber too! but not too much. running will be good, but drink a ton of water. and if you want to cut down on your meals, drink a full big glass of water before all of your meals. this way you feel really full but you barely ate anything. and make breakfast your biggest meal, that way you have all day to burn off the calories. and please remember that your body burns off calories as you do daily routines. oh and run either in the morning or afternoon. running in the morning burns the most fat calories and jumpstarts your metabolism to burn more calories during your day. running at nighttime will burn calories, but will not burn fat calories!

Im Looking to Change My Diet, Can Someone Help?? [10 Pts]?

I just love answering these diet help questions. Here’s another:

Question: I’m 21 year old male and I really need to change my diet. I used to be really healthy and a swimmer for my whole life. But in the past 2 years I went through a horrible split with my high school sweetheart, car accident and I slipped into a mild depression. I lost all passion and interest in everything and became lethargic. This caused me to put on 20-25 lbs. and it definitely has been a terrible period. Low self esteem and all that other bull shit. But im tired of wasting time with memories of the past and I want to start fresh. I want this to be a new chapter so can someone please help me with a Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner schedule of some sort? I dont have a lot of knowledge about what I need when it comes to calories, fats etc

Answer: hi, i had a very similar experience.. was depressed my first year of college and gained around 20 lbs. i was able to lose weight gradually by eating the following:

breakfast: cereal such as special k or raisin bran with 1% milk, or oatmeal with a banana
mid morning snack: a piece of fruit
lunch: turkey with lettuce, tomato, onion on whole grain bread, and a piece of fruit or side salad
you could also eat tuna, or chicken, just some sort of white meat
midday snack: carrots or snap peas with hummous, or a yogurt with granola
dinner: tossed salad with lite dressing
dessert: fruit

since your a guy, i understnad you may prefer different things.. the main thing though is to stick to whole grains, white meats, go crazy on fruits and veggies. and WATCH YOUR PORTIONS. is the key
always drink water with your meals and throughout the day. best of luck. if i can do it you can too
