Question: I’ve been promising myself I’d diet now for too long to remember and in that time I’ve put on a good few lbs. My problem is that I cannot resist chocolate and so everyday I promise myself on a diet only to break it the same day because I cannot go a day without eating chocolate!! It’s a vicious circle of broken promises and guilty eating that’s driving me mad!! How do I get through this? I don’t have another weakness,just chocolate and if I don’t eat it I’m SO very bad-tempered and hard to live with! Anyone else experiencing or experienced this brick wall before? What did you do to help you get over your craving/addiction? Any tips or mental tricks would be appreciated alot thank you =)
Answer: We have the same problem! I LOOOOOOOOOVE my lindt and my almond rocca so much, that sometimes it IS hard to maintain a diet. The only way to get out of it is to throw the chocolate out and not to buy any for a while. You can finish the chocolate, throwing it is sooooo wasteful! BUT the moment it is gone, ressist the urge to buy more. You can incorporate DARK chocolate to your diet and by this I mean just one square after every meal. There are studies that have proven dark chocolate to be an effective part of the diet. I used to go for a week without ANY chocolate and once a week, I’d reward myself with ANY bar I wanted. This went on for 6 months until I finished my weight loss goal (45lbs). Trust me, the first week is the hardest. After that, everything gets so much easier to do.

Answer: This is not diet related. But wearing boxer shorts and loose fitting clothes helps men. Tight clothing restricts blood flow to testicles and lowers supply.

Question: Okay , I have been on this diet for 5 months , & It’s become successful . But I have been slacking off .
When I first started off , I was excersizing every chance I got : 30 or 50 pull ups , walking around the track 4 or 2 times , lifting weights , tread mills , & all .
But now I have reduced to : 20 pull ups , 100 weight lifting , (both arms) not walking at all , is that bad ?
My eatting habbits haven’t changed .
I used to be 200 pounds , & now I’m 183 . My goal is 130 or 140 ; (my height is 5′8) & summer vaycay is coming up . (3 months) Can I loose the weight in that short time ? Should I increase my excersizes ? I can (finally) to push ups , & I can lift myself up for 30 secounds , sometimes 50 . Can you please give me excersize tips ? & Maybe Yoga tips ? I don’t drink any sodas , expect for AMPs (energy drink) & I also smoke , Can smoking make you fat ? Hmm , Please give me a good answer .

Answer: Cardio workouts are best to lose weight! You build up a sweat and work LOTS of calories off. Weight lifting is best after losing weight though because it’s to tone and won’t help you lose weight too much. Also eat a lot of proteins rather than carbs because your body will burn off the fat faster.
Smoking probably doesn’t help. I wouldn’t suggest it. It might hurt in the long run in doing cardio workouts and breathing.

Answer: Try eating smaler serving of food. Also eat all your servings of fruits and vegetables. Eat lean meats or meat substitutes. Don’t starve yourself or you will get sick. Weight watchers books can be found anywhere and have really healthy recipes. Make sure weight coresponds with your height. I am also 12 and have the same problem as you. Hope this helps.
A diet help question that should definitely interest you all this week
Question: I am a ballerina but I am a little over weight and need to tone up. I am going to really buckle down and start taking care of my body because i know that’s very important as a dancer. I have the exercise down I just need help with my diet. I want to be on a diet that a professional ballerina would be on. I need to know like what types of food I should eat for breakfast lunch and dinner and what food I should avoid. I need just a basic guideline for a good dancer diet. Thanks
Answer: First of all, those are NOT dancer diets.
A real dancer diet involves actually training in dance 3-6 hours 7 days a week.
You eat the normal 2000 to 2500 calories according to the RDI.
Eat carbs in the morning, fruits and nuts in the mid day, and meats and dairy at night.
Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:
Question: Are eating fruits like mangos and bananas in between meals bad for us? Me and my wife are borderline fat and we eat three square meals a day. I think that they are calories that we don’t need and she says they are healthy. They are healthy, but we don’t need them! Thats the debate.
Answer: I agree with you.
Yes, fruit is good for you. But most of it contains a lot of sugar and there’s really nothing special in fruit that makes it necessary to eat it. Sugar in fruit is like any sugar. It spikes your blood sugar, possibly leading to diabetes eventually.
If you need to lose weight, cut out the breads and sugars. One older diet that was very popular and successful was the "no flour no sugar diet". Simply cut everything out of your diet that contains flour and sugar. That gets all the pasta, baked goods, candy, etc. It works for a lot of people. Good luck…

Weight: 145lbs

Exercise Regime: 4-5: 30 min. runs, 2 weight workouts (moderate intensity) (weekly exercise routine)
Daily Calorie Consumption: 1600 calories
My goal is to go back down to 135lbs. How can I lose more weight but not cause my body to start storing everything single nutrient I consume. I eat a variety of foods during the day and yeah I eat a little too much junk some days but not crazy amounts and don’t tell me to cut them out completely because that’s ludicurous. What are some tips you can give me? I have no problem eating 1000 calories or less to lose the weight but I always end up gaining weight when i do that. If you have any suggestions. (I’ll try different stuff) none of the no carb diets though, hate those and no miracle diet bs. Thanks!!
Answer: try comsuming about 1000-1200 calories a day. snacks should be under 200 calories. don’t eat junk foods like chips…drink only milk and water. no sweets candies thingys. eat fruits and vegetable for snacks and some salads for lunch and dinner try different kinds of salads to be interesting like fruit salad or steak salad(really good). dont add a lot of dressing. try not to add salt,butter,or sugar to any foods. buy whole grain products. buy nonfat milk or 2% milk(not chocolate) hope this helps for a start. What a great diet help question:
Question: If I eat:
Breakfast: 1x weetbix biscuit (which is 55 calories)
w/ iron supplement (I am a vegetarian)
Lunch: Medium apple and carrot
Dinner: half a plate of cooked vegetables and a boiled egg.
With this diet and 4-5 times a week of exercise, including cardio weights, and some classes such as boxing, could I lose weight? I would like to be 110 pounds at the very most. Would this be possible?
I am 5′1 and have just recently weighed myself and was shocked to find I am 132 Lbs (I’m not sure if some of that added weight is including muscle because I have been doing weight machines for triceps, biceps, dumbbells, etc and have gotten quite an amount of muscle on my arms) but my weight has gone up by several pounds.
Answer: You need to buy protein first of all…the more muscle(toned or not) the more your body will burn fat calories…second cut out the bisquit, those are too complex of carbs, replace with oats. Eat your apple after your workout because that is the only time it needs sugar…boxing will burn calories all day.

Also, try and cut out as much sugar as you possibly can. Try and eat your 5 a day, but get as much as possible from vegetables as fruit has sugar that turns to fat in your body. Eat low calorie foods that fill you up, like leafy vegetables. Try and AVOID pasta before 5pm as it makes you tired, thus making you want to eat more food. Breaded fish is also bad for you as it contains extra calories that you might not expect.
Try and do 20-30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise if possible (running or other high impact exercises like aerobics) as well as the videos I linked above. You can find easy aerobic videos on YouTube and running can be around a local area or even just jogging on the spot.
Remember to drink as much water as you can. I hate the taste of water so I often drink too little which, from experience, has definitely slowed down my weight loss. If you don’t like the taste, drink tea while adding very small amounts of sugar, if any at all, or add squash to it.
If you can, write down what you eat to make you conscious of foods that you eat too much of, and to make you more aware of your overall calorie count.
