What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: Hi when i follow diets i normally follow weight watchers points systems. getting bored now so just wanted to go back to trusty calories.

Because i haven’t followed them in years i need some help.

Im 144 pounds im 5ft 1 and activity is pretty much half and half.

How many Cal’s should i be eating to lose weight

Answer: 1200-1500/day…5-6 small meals/snacks per day

I Really Need Help with My Diet!?

A tough diet help question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: Ok so I am 11 year old girl. (My parents gave me permission to use this website) and I am about 106 or 107 in weight. I don’t want any of those sites where they teach you to not eat, throw up, eat chemical food and horrible things like that. We ALL know that crud doesn’t even work. I would like to lose 5-10 pounds by June with exercises and eating right. I have the eating part down but I need some help with the exercises. We live in a trailer park and our car doesn’t work, so what can I do for exercises? I need daily activities because I want to be used to exercising every day. So can you give me daily exercises and work out plans, how many calories it would or should burn (if you know) and how long it would take (approx.) to lose 5-ish pounds. Thanks so much in advance!
Answer: Drink plenty of water!!! I cannot stress that enough for diets. Though a lot of people with eating disorder do this, its also just a good way to keep your body health and focussed. Make sure your eating a well balanced meal. maybe cut down on some of the fats and sugars. (not all though haha) excersizing is great! have a dog, go out for a walk once a day. if not, go out and do something fun like ride your bike, do gymnastics, jump rope, ect. by june you shoudl atleast lose some weight. but youll be a lot healthier and fit

PRO ANA Diet/buddy Help?

A tough diet help question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: Does anyone want to join/support me do the "Russian Gymnast Diet"?

Here’s the diet plan
Breakfast:
Glass of either orange or apple juice

Lunch:
Fruit Salad (made off kiwi fruit, orange, pineapple, and peeled apples)
Glass of fruit juice (from one of the above fruits)

Dinner:
Glass of non carbonated water*
Green apple

I can expect to lose 4-11 pounds a week with this diet.

I’m currently 5′7.5 and around 140 pounds, hoping to go down to 120-130.
I can only email - no phone. I’m starting tomorrow.

Help with Mentos and Diet Coke Experiment?

Keep the diet help questions coming! I liked this one:

Question: I have this experiment I have to do which has to have all of Newton’s Laws. I want to do a Diet Coke and Mentos car, but it isn’t working. I tried this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-hXcRtbj1Y&feature=relmfu but it didn’t really work, I think it’s because of the toy car I used, it was too heavy. I also think it doesn’t have enough pressure in the liter bottle
I’m using a 2 liter bottle and 6 mentos. So, I tried sticking mentos on scotch tape and sticking it to the top of the cap, screwing it on, and with the hole I poked in the cap, (I had a toothpick in there as a stopper) I set the bottle down and diet coke did shoot out, but I think i made the hole to small. It didn’t move.
Help me, I only have a week left, and I have another project, too! Ugh. -___-
It only needs to move two meters.
Any other ideas? Do i need a smaller coke bottle? and smaller wheels? Should I make this smaller?
It needs to be a car that moves.
Answer: lighter car, bigger wheels

remember, what is driving your car is the conservation of momentum. the mass of the coke times to velocity of coke going one direction equals the mass of car times the velocity of the car. Lighter car will experience more velocity. bigger wheels allows the car to overcome both static and dynamic friction better (dont believe me? try rolling a tiny wheel vs a big wheel)

If I were you, I’d get an empty tissue box, attach 4 big wheels onto it and have a bending pipe to direct the upward flow of the coke to horizontal and use a 591ml coke and make sure it is as cold as possible without freezing

Vegan Diet Help ????

Question: As a vegan…….do you not drink milk and eat egs or fish….. whats te difference between vegan and vegetarian.

Also….what vitamins do you have to take cause your not eating meat. Im considering becoming a vegetarian or vegan and im curious…and i want input from a vegan instead of wikipedia or something like that

Answer: A FISH IS an ANIMAL.

FISH are ANIMALS.

A vegetarian and a vegan both do not eat meat.
Fish. Is. Meat.

Vegans do not eat any dairy, eggs, cheese, yoghurt, ice cream, or milk chocolate or ANY dairy product that comes from an animal- that means meat too, no rennet , no gelatin from hooves etc. No vegan or vegetarian eats fish, because, like chickens and baby ponies, fish are animals.

A vegetarian doesn’t eat the FLESH, BLOOD, FAT, HOOVES, or anything from a dead animal.

They can eat the milk and cheese and eggs ( technically the animal doesn’t die to make these things althouth their existence is miserable, tortured and vile, usually), but they don’t eat DEAD ANIMAL PARTS.
No fish, chickens, cows, lambs, roosters, rabbits, donkeys, puppies, sheep, piggies, piglets, pate, fois gras, wings, buffaloes, baby unicorns, hamsters or french doves, pigeons, gorillas or monkey, polar bears or antelopes or deer. They just don’t eat dead animals.

YOu don’t need to take anything.

But, ( and please don’t take this the wrong way) it sounds like you do not have much idea what a vegetarian or vegan IS, let alone what they eat, so why are you even doing this? It sounds like you don’t even know you’ll have to not buy poptarts and cheesits anymore to be vegan.

It’s a very healthy ( well, it can be, it can also be unhealthy) way to live, without animals being chopped up justs to stuff in your gob. It would help if you read up about it-

Help Losing Weight? Diet Suggestions?

A diet help question that should definitely interest you all this week

Question: I’m fifteen, I weigh 170, and I really want to lose at least twenty pounds (more if possible) before I’m sixteen (in September)
I have a lot of muscle tone from running and working out so I would weigh a little less if I didn’t. My diet isn’t particularly bad, but I can’t say I eat great.
I have tried so many diets and workouts, and none of them seem to work. I just feel really depressed about my weight, and I feel like no matter what I do it’s never going to come off.
Any diet suggestions to lose it and keep it off? What works for you? I need answers from people with experience please!!
Answer: a good way for teens to lose weight is to cut out 100-150 calories a day. the weight will come off slowly but it will stay off. stay a way from golden colored food because that means that it is fried. exercise for at least30 mins 3-5 times a week. eat protein and watch fat intake. make sure you also talk to your doctor. stay away form simple sugars and fats. drink lots of water! stick with it!!!! dont give up!

I Need Help on Planning My Diet!?

What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: Starting tomorrow I’m on a diet. And this is my diet plan so far. I wake up eat 1 cup of plain Cherrios and an orange, then I go to school. Then by lunch I see everyone eating fatty foods! What should I do!?
Answer: okay, to get into shape , rid yourself of excess fat and lose weight ,,,,,do as follows:

Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly)
eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a food/rice steamer to make it easy on you)…(vegetables are not tasty, like junk foods,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)…avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc…and drink water . If you eat meat ,,eat only steamed fish or chicken.

also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of excercise.

Help on Diets to Lose Weight Please?

Keep the diet help questions coming! I liked this one:

Question: I just want to know how to stick to a diet because i find it so hard.
I want to lose weight quickly so i need a diet that i can stick to that has tasty food with not so many calories….
If you could give examples of what i could eat to lose this weight it´d be amazing!
Oh and also what exercises could i do to lose fat on my stomach, my inner thighs and the region beneath my belly button

Answer: There are more tips and info.

1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure.

2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program.

3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily.

4. Don’t weigh yourself more than once a week

5. Take starting measurements as well as weight - sometimes you’ll lose inches before pounds

6. Avoid any type of "low carb" sweetener for the first two weeks

7. Don’t compare your loss to someone else’s - this is a YMMV thing (your milage may vary)

8. Stalls are common around the third week so don’t panic

9. If you follow your plan to the T and don’t lose, consider Candida as a possibility and avoid vinegar, cheese, mushrooms and any other fermented food

10. Have bloodwork done before starting so you have a comparison

11. Cholesterol can be elevated in the first few weeks til your body adjusts - make sure your doctor knows that you’re doing low carb and when you started

12. Don’t blame the diet if you don’t read your plan book — blame the diet if you don’t read the labels — Don’t blame the diet if you don’t follow the diet

I Need Some Help with a Diet Plan?

Question: Okay don’t say I don’t need a diet. It’s not even really a diet, I would just like to stay as healthy as possible at my age. I’m 13, a girl, and I’m about 5′2 1/2. I used to have an eating disorder but now I’m trying to get back into a schedule, since it helps me to have one and I’m eating right now.

-So does anyone know any websites I could just make a personalized diet plan?
-Do you know if that website also sets up an exercise thing for you? (I like to jog and do yoga and dance, but the days I do it are very unorganized)
-Have you used it, and what do you think about it?

I Need Help What is a Vegan Diet or a Liquid Diet in Need to Go from Size 20 to 16 in 3 Months and Be Tone?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I need to have this fast with out pills I’m not sure what a super diet is and I just need to for my aunties weding I want to lose 10 pounds by Saturday or at least 6 I need help were going dress shopping on Saturday but alterations are in 4 months so I need to fit in size 16 and be tone plese help!!!!!
Answer: If you go on any kind of crazy diet you are just going to end up bingeing. So just start eating healthy and working out. I would normaly recommend making changes slowly, but since you have 3 months, make all of the changes today. Throw out the sugar/sweets, white rice/pasta and bread and start eating veggies, fruits, whole grains and fat free dairy products. Also focus on serving sizes.
Get your butt to the store and buy yourself 7 workout outfits, if you have clothes to work out in, you have no excuse not to go. Then start walking/jogging or running for 30 minutes a day and make sure you are sweating, if you’re walking fast and not sweating you need to start jogging. For some toning tips go to you tube and search rockbody tv. I love that chick.
